Our initial furniture design launch. This medieval Scriptorium comes in an antiqued, dark wood finish. It is entirely bench-made,hand built of solid wood; each is one of a kind. Doweled and glued, we use no nails or wood screws in the construction. Based on Bellini's scriptorium (writing and illumination) desk seen in his famous "St. Francis in Ecstacy of Vision" this table is excellent for displaying open Biblical or musical manuscripts, rare books, architectural diagrams, or other objects. The Scriptorium mnay also be used for drafting and reading!
